Training Ethos 2009

The Training Ethos Category Award was introduced in 2005  and a full on site training audit is conducted on each short listed facility (six facilities in 2009) by experienced Auditors and training specialists.

 

The 2009 White Flag Training Ethos Category award was presented to National Aquatic Centre at the White Flag Awards night on the 23rd October 2009 at the Burlington Hotel Dublin.

Disability Provision Award 2009

 

The Disability Provision Award was presented on the 23rd Octiber at the White Flag Awards held in the Burlington Hotel, Dublin. 

This category was introduced in 2005 in partnership with The Irish Wheelchair Association and Cerebral Palsy Sport Ireland and has grown every year.  A Disability Access audit is conducted on each facility entered for the award.  This year for the first time each facility shortlisted for a Disability Provision Award were graded with a Gold, Silver or Bronze. 

 

The 2009 awarded facilities are:

Gold 

  • DLR Leisure Services - Monkstown

  • Leisureland, Galway

  • National Aquatic Centre, Dublin

  • Westport Leisure Park

 

Silver

  • K Leisure, Athy,  

  • K Leisure,Naas

  • Newpark School Sports Centre, Blackrock

 

Bronze

  • ESB SPORTSCO, Dublin

  • Grove Island Leisure Centre, Limerick

  • Portlaoise Leisure Centre, Laois
